Grant Getter

Our Grant Getter secures funding for a range of things to support the club, including:  training equipment, transport to events, coaches training courses.

Who do we get funding from?

Over the past few years we have been successful if securing funding from the following organisations:

  • Malmesbury Carnival Committee

An application is made in September each year

  • Malmesbury Fireworks Committee

An application is made in November / December each year

We normally apply for a grant to cover the costs of the Bus to the Finals for the Wiltshire League.

  • Wardens and Freemen of Malmesbury

No fixed timetable for applications

  • James Dyson Foundation

No fixed timetable for applications

Limited to equipment only

 There are other sources of fundraising that could be explored:  Waitrose, Co-op, Tetbury Tescos etc.

What does the role involve?

The role will involve the following:

  • Liaison with committee / coaching team to identify items for funding
  • Complete applications within deadlines
  • Organise purchase of funded items where required
  • Liaise with Treasurer for reimbursement
  • Ensure grant claims are completed within deadlines

Where purchases can’t be paid for by bank transfer, the Grant Getter may need to pay for the items and then make a claim from the Club, which would be paid in a timely manner.
